Ansonia Royal Bonn LaChartres Mantle Shelf Clock' Description   Here is a rare, open escapement, Ansonia Royal Bonn mantle clock. It is 11 3/4" tall x 11 1/4" wide x 5 1/4" in depth. It is signed on the back Royal Bonn with the company logo. It also is impressed LaChartres and there are also some impressed designer marks that we have photographed. The porcelain face has the Ansonia A in the diamond/square and towards the bottom it has Manufactured by the Ansonai Clock Company New York, United States of America. The movement is also marked Ansonia Clock Co USA New York Patented June 14th 1881. One of the back feet has been broken off and reattached but is not visible when in place. The break looks to be a clean break and really doesn't look bad at all. (see pictures) It chimes on the hour and the 1/2 hour. It works great and chimes when it should. This is truely a beautiful piece of history.
