Description
We have a large number of vintage and antique clocks currently listed along with an equally large number of music boxes and other very nice collectibles. Be sure to have a look at our other items! This is a very rare, old, working, Lux wall clock that was produced by the "Columbia Time Products Company" in "La Salle, Illinois" about 50 years ago! The front is made of bakelite or similar composite materials while the frame or back is made of metal. This is a rare winter scene clock as you can see on the face complete with two pheasants or game birds near the bottom, a colorful nest on the right side near the top, and two colorful snowberry flowers on either corner near the top. It's also very rare to find the flying bluebird model since this is one; the bird flies back and forth as time ticks away! There are four golden metal chains attached to the case in front; two have round rings on the end and the other two have faux tubular metal weights. The weights are for decorative purposes only since this clock is equipped with a key wind movement that lasts for up to two days on a single wind. The dial features raised numerals to mark the hours and matching metal hands to point out the time. There is a winding arbor near the 9 o'clock position to wind the clock. The clock works quite well here and keeps good time too though being an older clock, some adjustments or service may be required once the clock arrives at its new home. We often recommend to our clock customers to locate a shop near their home and have their vintage or antique clocks serviced at least once every three years. Doing so will keep a classic timepiece like this one, healthy for years to come. I've looked the clock over fairly well and can't find any issues save a little paint loss. It's in great vintage condition! It's a very impressive clock and the perfect size too measuring about 4 1/4" high (not counting the chains or pendulum) and about 4" across the top. The clock comes complete as shown with an attached metal pendulum and round, golden metal bob as well as the winding key. This clock would make a welcome, coveted addition to any collection and is certain to impress anyone who sees it in your home, office, or wherever it is that you care to display a rare American timepiece. I know you'll love it! If you like this item and I'm sure you do, then I know you'll love the other items we have listed! Check back frequently since we're listing a lot of antique/vintage items as time allows! We're selling this item and everything else we list with No Reserve, AS-IS, No Returns or Refunds, and a low starting bid so that everyone has an equal chance to own this rare clock! We'd be glad to send more pictures if available; just ask! My wife and I have been accumulating lots of nice antiques and other collectors items over the years. But now is a good time to start clearing out the things we no longer wish to keep. We will give the money we raise from ebay sales to a ministry we support that is helping to construct orphan homes and schools in Kenya, China, and Uganda, and lending assistance to disaster victims like those in Sri Lanka. It's just something we enjoy doing and this is where your money will go once you have paid for this item. Keep in mind that we're not experts by any stretch of the imagination but do accurately describe each item to the best of our ability. Please don't bid unless you're willing to pay for this item within 7 days of the close of sale and abide by our simple terms. The winning bidder will be sent an invoice following the close of sale through EBAY Checkout. Buyer is to pay for shipping and handling; we always ship by the US Postal Service. An international buyer will pay additional postage and should ask for the rate prior to the close of auction. Insurance is recommended and optional. If insurance is selected, the cost will include tracking as well. In most cases, payment can be made by personal check, US money order, US Cashiers Check, international money order in US funds, or through Pay Pal. Please note that all transactions will be given the appropriate feedback. Bid often and have Fun!
