Near mint condition and in perfect working order (serviced and oiled). Marked as follows: Patented February 16, 1909 Patented July 12, 1910 Other Patents Pending Western Germany Label reads: Horolovar Warranty 03156 Descriptive history: GERMAN "HICKORY DICKORY DOCK" TIME PIECE. The wood cased clock having gilt metal vertical hour numbers with white figural mouse ascending. Each hour with graduated gilt lines dividing the hour into five minute intervals with the nose of the mouse proclaiming the time. Key wound & set. Height 24 1/2 in., width 6 5/8 in. Pat. dated 1910. "The Mouse ran up the clock"; the clock made by the German Horolovar Co. Clock reads "Dickory Dickory Dock". (not "Hickory...). Double sided key included.    “Dickory Dickory Dock” mouse clock, by the Horolovar Company, made in West Germany. This is the popular contemporary model, circa late 1960s, copied from the original Dungan & Klump much larger mouse clock.   All original, including the mouse, and in running condition.   All the brass numerals are intact, paint all good, mahogany case is 24.5".   If you have never seen one of these clocks, the mouse climbs up the dial until he reaches number one, then falls back down and rings a bell.
