It also has a wonderful mythelogical phoenix-like bird. The mechanism is working. This clock also features a rare seconds hand.  The brass pendulum features a 9” disk on a metal rod with 12 pound iron weights. The movement strikes on the quarter hour. It may be inspected in BH before purchasing. That in mind, the clock will need servicing/ setup after moving which is the buyers' responsibility and is sold as is. The seller who is an avid clock collector, purchased this clock in Ennis, Ireland. This clock is listed in Britten's Watch and Clock Maker's Handbook, Dictionary and Guide.  I have sold several longcase, mantle and wall clocks from this collection with excellent feedback.
