Description
A beautiful perfect 20 piece 6 place setting of genuine occupied japan porcelain-dragon theme-circa late 40's.very fine unique artistry makes this very special especially with complete 6 place setting.all is perfect surface wise-gone over carefully.never used -always in glass curio.from an estate auction in sayville,li,ny/tea pot is 7 high 9 wide approx. photos show saucers and plates.plates are 6-1/2 in diameter.saucers smaller.all handpainted all sets different-no 2 alike.3-D raised artistry is superb.double tt mark on bottom of all pieces.belonged to woman's mother-left to her .teapot and sugar bowl.i don't think they used milk in japan ever in tea.simply an extraordinary asian design.rare. bidding starts at $319.00,30.00 shipping-priority -usps,ins .hi,ak add 10.00 to shipping due to air, ins.will ship worldwide-not heavy 15 lbs approx packed.send postal code before end give 48 hrs leeway.insurance for all byers is included in shipping cost.----------- Special note: (seller traveled looking for a matching milk piece, assumming there was one -same reg. size-the whole set is the large regular tea drinking set-not tiny doll type glass cups.the new piece found after many stops, after the listing was finished, matches in an exc! way-right size-same dragons -has nippon green markings shown .with it was a sugar bowl ,nippon, same size.these 2 pieces are from the same original nippon set that obviously was broken apart leaving these two only .i had to buy both.byer can have both.2 additional pieces are flawless.the milk matches with the "tt" set .there is now an extra sugar bowl with cap as shown in inserted photo number 11 showing three pieces for comparison, the "tt" piece is in the background, the two nippon pieces are in the foreground.photo 12 shows the nippon marking.seller is still selling the all "tt" occupied japan set at the above price which has nothing to do with the additions.additions are simply to help out.seller knows little about ceramics-will ask a dealer soon and learn more about the 1945-1952 period.
