Description
Beha 509 Black Forest Cuckoo Clock Mantle Gorgeous, Mint, Runs like a dream, Rare!!!     A once in a lifetime extremely rare opportunity to own a working, Antique, Circa 1880’s, or prior …Black Forest Mantle/Shelf Cuckoo Clock made by the greatest cuckoo clock maker of all time, none other than Johann Baptist Beha of Eisenbach, Schwarzwald (Black Forest) Germany!!!      This is Beha's No. 509 in excellent condition with twin fusee and a wooden plated 8-day movement with ……a beautiful original key. Runs super nice for 8 days…..   Look at this clock and this key….it is quality from the start…..The clock is 15.5 inches tall…11 inches wide X 7 ½  inches deep, with original Bone Hands and Numerals!!!   It has a beautiful rich color and the movement works super nice.  I have had it running for several weeks to test it and it keeps superb time.    Runs and strikes and cuckoo’s….beautifully well. The winged cuckoo and gong strike on the hour and half hour.I see no repairs to the clock, it is almost mint, with only the small tips off two leaves…that  I hardly found at all.  It is that mint….a beautiful example of a Johann Baptist Beha of Eisenbach mantle clock number 509.  Seeing is believing, look at the pictures…   It has two superb labels….one on the inside of the back plate by the gong…a mint one….and one on the back of the back plate….which shows some wear, being on the outside of the clock….but still there and super nice.   Two super nice labels….stating….Camerer, Kuss, Thitschler and Co.  See Karl Kochmann book, page 248 for the picture and Rick Ortenburger book, page 117 for examples of its beauty and rareness…...See Picture number 10 for a copy of the label.   You pass this one up…and you may or may not ever find another number 509…but the chances of it being this mint even if you do….…is not likely….   Email me with any questions you like to be answered….bcclyb75@sbcglobal.net.   Buyer to pay $49.95 for shipping and insurance.  I will pack it well….
